I am passionate about working with youth who have experienced trauma. I am certified in Evidence Based Trauma Treatment, trained in Music Therapy and yoga, and have spent the last decade creatively weaving these modalities together to create a holistic and safe healing space for a variety of trauma survivors to reconnect and flourish as they truly are.
Additionally, I have specialized experience working with first responders — both as a police social worker and most recently as a 911 Dispatcher. I enjoy working side by side with first responders to promote healing and resilience.

I know that making the world an overall better place starts at an individual level. When individuals are at their best, they inspire others and it becomes a ripple effect. When people are at their best, they become advocates for positive world change and community members that impact the greater whole.

First, humans have the most healing success within positive relationships. Working with a therapist presents a unique opportunity to practice those types of relationships so you can have better outcomes in your real life.
Second, you have to do the work outside of sessions. There is no getting around it if you want results.
-
You can be the healthiest person in the world and still benefit from therapy. Therapy is both fixing what you feel is broken and maintaining when you feel you’ve healed from the break. The right therapeutic fit for you will give you the outside perspective that will guide you on the path to your truest self.
-
Scientifically, there will be a reduction in both physical and mental symptoms, such as intrusive thoughts and panic attacks. What I find most rewarding is seeing someone reconnect with their true self and begin living a life that aligns with it.

Having done significant work within my own life, I can genuinely say that I won’t ask you to do anything I wouldn’t or haven’t done myself. I'm not your typical talk therapist—I’ll encourage you to actively practice the skills that lead to a more fulfilling life. Together, we’ll engage in movement, play instruments, and explore healing methods that resonate with you.
Also, having been a first responder in my previous life, there is literally nothing you can say or do that will shock me or scare me away.
If you weren’t a mental health professional, what would you be doing?
If I had my way, I would be something new every year. Try all of the things. Be a zoo keeper one year, an astronaut the next, and a party planner the next.
Favorite quote?
My life motto is “Find Your Muchness” based on a quote from Alice and Wonderland. “You’re not the same as you were before, you were much more muchier. You’ve lost your muchness.”
Beach or mountains?
Beach for sure. I’m basically a mermaid or Moana.
What is your favorite color?
Green (Side note…Go Green, Go White, Go State!)
What is your favorite way to move your body?
Hot Yoga and lifting weights
