Mikaela Schulz
My ideal client is someone ready to embrace nature, playfulness, and transformative growth. Drawing on my experience as a Division 1 athlete, I enjoy working with high-achieving individuals navigating life transitions, burnout, stress, spirituality, or athletic challenges. I believe therapy should be experiential, engaging, and empowering, often incorporating mindfulness, adventure, and activities that inspire growth. Whether it's through outdoor sessions, playing games, or meditation, I aim to help clients unlock new perspectives and discover their strengths. My approach centers on helping clients break out of unhelpful thought loops, build self-compassion, and feel empowered in how they respond to life’s challenges.
I’m passionate about adventure therapy and sharing with others its ability to make change tangible through experiential learning. Therapy can be fun and dynamic, and I love guiding clients to see the world differently, unlocking new possibilities through shifts in perspective. A favorite quote of mine is, “Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change,” which reflects the transformative mindset I bring to my practice. My background in sports psychology, combined with techniques like mindfulness, somatic therapy, and visualization, allows me to support clients in achieving their goals—whether they’re athletes seeking a mental edge or individuals seeking deeper connection and growth.
