  • I love working with individuals who are willing to challenge themselves and their previous beliefs. Someone who is willing to stay humble and admit when things don't go to plan. Each individual is so incredibly unique, that it is important to understand that therapy and healing is not a "one-size-fits-all" kind of deal. Healing takes time, has ups and downs, and is far from a linear process. My ideal client would be someone who desires to try new treatment approaches that connect their mind to their body and be committed to growth outside of the therapeutic setting.

  • I love connection and community. The idea of being a part of someone's journey, even if only for a moment, is what drives me to do this work. I love watching individuals transform their former beliefs into ones that are practical and useful in their everyday lives. Being a part of something bigger than myself is what I feel called to do, and being a therapist allows me to live this out daily.

  • Therapy is for everyone. You don't have to be at rock-bottom to go to therapy. Therapy is there to support in all of one's needs, big or small. There are individuals who attend therapy sessions to just check in with someone other than their spouse, or to talk about future plans in life, or uncover deep rooted traumas. Also, therapy is fun! It provides a space for you to express yourself in any way you want. With clients, I like to breathe, meditate, listen to music, draw, and allow you to be whoever you need to be in that moment. Therapy is about you, and you decide what makes the most sense for you and your healing journey.

  • It's an hour of uninterrupted time to talk about anything that is on your mind. It is a safe space to unpack trauma, secrets, weight on your shoulders, family issues, kids, work, substance use, and anything else under the sun. Being able to talk with someone, one-on-one, gives you an opportunity to release and reset, while working on existing skills and building new ones.

  • When working with me, I will do my best to support you and encourage you with unconditional empathy. I am not one to "sugar-coat" things and will challenge you when I see potential within you. I have worked with diverse populations and have specializations/experience with substance use counseling & disorders, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. One thing to note about the way I work is that I revolve around a person-centered approach to therapy, meaning that you will take control in sessions with me and I will act as a guide. You are in control of your treatment and I am a support to assist along the way. In sessions, I will challenge you to relearn breathing techniques, use music as a healing element, and work on mindfulness based approaches.
