I believe that most people can benefit from therapy at some point in their lives. My ideal client recognizes that shifts in perspectives or lifestyle may be necessary to meet their goals - even if they don't yet know what those changes are. I enjoy working with a range of populations experiencing times of transition - especially new parents, folks going through pregnancy and childbirth, the aging - or post life transition such as education, job, move, and relationship changes. Clinical challenges include: anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma.

It feels like the ultimate privilege to witness another person's raw humanity. There is no greater gift than journeying with someone as they heal and grow. Sometimes life is really hard, and sitting with another being in this difficult place, seeing the darkness and the beauty, allows me to have a greater sense of connection to both myself, the client, and all of humanity!

Therapy can be fun! When we take the pressure off of ourselves, and give our bodies, minds, and spirits the space and support to heal - it can be a very gratifying experience. Yes, we may broach some heavy subjects and explore serious symptoms, but I believe that bringing lightness in when appropriate can help facilitate a more easeful healing journey. You never know what you may learn about yourself along the way too.

"Therapy" is a broad term that encompasses so many different modalities, therapist styles, frameworks, and applications. Because of this, I believe that we all can benefit from therapy when we find a good fit! We are all always evolving, and at times can use support from outside entities to work towards our goals.

"Success" is really defined by the client and the progress you have made towards your goals. It will look different for each person, but it is something we will discuss early on together in order to guide our work together. Sometime success can be an internal shift, a more positive outlook, or a reduction in symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, etc. These inward shifts will likely result in very tangible lifestyle changes too!

My approach is gentle, yet firm. I trust my clients to be the authority of their own experiences and know that I am a single point in a lifetime of experiences and knowledge - here to offer hope, light, and gentle guidance based on my own expertise and experiences. I love to integrate somatic practices into sessions - integrating the mind, body, and spirit for whole person healing. I am a certified yoga instructor, and love incorporating movement when possible.
